As the old adage goes, defence wins championships.
But Calgary Bisons bench boss Tyler Drader figures his squad might be able to put that theory to the test in the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League playoffs.
“I do think defence is important, but the best defence is a good offence, right?” Drader said. “If we’ve got control of the puck and we’re putting pressure on them, then it’s tough for them to score. That’s kind of our game plan.”
