Ivan Telegin had a solid week starting with a one-goal, two-assist, plus-4 performance in a 6-1 victory over Sarnia and finished the week with two goals, one assist and was plus-1 in a 5-4 win versus Windsor. The native of Novokuznetsk, Russia is off to a solid start this season with 10 goals and 10 assists in 16 games. The 6-3, 185-pound left-handed centre is a good skater for his size and is known for playing well in all three zones of the rink.
WESTERN HOCKEY LEAGUE EMERSON ETEM, MEDICINE HAT TIGERS
Centre Born Jun 16 1992 – Long Beach, CA Height 6.00 – Weight 194 – Shoots R
Emerson Etem had six points in three games last week in games against Seattle, Red Deer and Prince Albert. Emerson joined the Tigers this first season from the United States National Team Development Program, where he played with the Under-17 program last year and he is off to a good start with 15 goals and seven assists in his first 20 WHL games. Etem is known for playing a physical style and a willingness to go to the net hard.

Brandon Hynes of the Rimouski Oceanic is the QMJHL Draft Performer of the Week. This past week, Hynes recorded hat tricks in both games of a home-and-home series versus Rouyn-Noranda. Hynes is known for being a hard working player at both ends of the rink and for finishing his checks despite not being a big player. |
