The Edmonton Thunder had to settle for a silver medal at the Esso Cup.
After defeating the Notre Dame Hounds (West) in a shootout thriller in the opening game of the tournament, the Thunder (Pacific) fell in the final to them, 5-2. Although they lost, Thunder coach Bryan Keller said he was proud with how his squad came at the Hounds.
