The gates just opened and there are already a number of horses breaking away from the pack in Federation Hockey’s Peewee Divisions.
As always, the Clagget (1) Division has been hotly contested to start the season, with a handful of teams within two points of the first-place Knights of Columbus Lancers.
At press time, the Lancers were 3-1-0 on the year with 15 goals for and 10 against in the 13-team division.
In the Dutchak (2) Division, St. Albert Mission, the St. Albert Blades and the SWAT Stealth were in a three-way tie for first place, with the Knights of Columbus Royals only a point behind with a 1-1-1 record.
In the Shave (3) Division Sherwood Park held a perfect 3-0-0 record to start the eight-game opening round and were making a strong argument for promotion to a higher level for Round 2.
As always, Federation Hockey has split its season into three rounds in order to ensure parity in all of its divisions.
The other Peewee division leaders at this point are as follows: Hamilton, Whitemud West; Vigneau, SWAT647; Cameron, KC Good Shepherd; Rains, Whitemud West; Dunnigan, KC Ligerz; Sollanych, Rampage; Sanregret, Garrison Warriors; Zaozirny, St. Albert Eagles; Daly, Whitemud West; Bidwell, Confederation; McKinley, Thunder Dragons. |
