Prince George, BC- The Prince George Cougars have traded 19-year old forward Cody Rainaldi to the Portland Winter Hawks in exchange for future considerations.
Rainaldi is a 5’10”; 176 pound native of Campbell River, B.C. Rainaldi spent the 2007-2008 season with the Manitoulin Islanders of the NOJHL where he compiled 21 goals and 23 assists for 44 points in 47 games.
Cougars General Manager Dallas Thompson commented “Cody was a guy that came into camp and made a very good case to play on our team this season. Finding ice became more difficult for Cody with the play of Brett Connolly and the return of Ryan Kowalski to the right side. We are happy that we were able to help Cody find a place to play in the WHL.”
Rainaldi appeared in 3 games this season for Prince George and recorded 1 assist.
The move leaves the Cougars with 15 forwards, 8 defencemen, and 2 goaltenders |
