Kent, WA. - Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Russ Farwell today announced defenseman Thomas Hickey has been returned to the Thunderbirds by the Los Angeles Kings.
Hickey was selected by the Kings in the first round, 4th overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. He was at the Kings Training Camp where he played in two preseason games.
Hickey is returning to Seattle on Monday night. He will be available for all three T-Birds games this weekend. The T-Birds take on the Everett Silvertips on Friday, October 10, at Comcast Arena at Everett at 7:30 p.m. The team travels to Portland to face the Winter Hawks at 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, before rounding out the weekend at the Chilliwack Bruins at 5:05 p.m. on Sunday, October 12.
Hickey is entering his fourth year with the T-Birds. He has career totals of 21 goals and 102 assists for 123 points. Hickey has a plus/minus rating of plus-36 with 172 penalty minutes.
The T-Birds next home game is Saturday, October 18, at KeyArena against the Kelowna Rockets at 7:05 p.m.
